Inositol hexaphosphate and Colon Cancer
Based on a scientific review article
“Nothing is permanent.”- Buddha
Hello Zuncia Family,
Today’s post is again about use Inositol Hexaphosphate in colon cancer. There is so many research articles on its anti-cancer effect on different type of cancers.
Cancer is one of the major health problems of world. Its incidence and mortality is increasing at alarming rate despite so much money spending on its research and developing new drugs and therapies. While a dietary supplement is showing good results in many research studies.
Inositol is a naturally occurring carbohydrate present in plants, mainly in high fibre plants as well as in mammalian cells. IP6 exhibit a broad spectrum anti-cancer actitivity.
Research studies showed that IP6 reduces cell proliferation, induces apoptosis and differentiation of malignant cells with reversion to normal phenotype. Due to enhanced immunity and antioxidant properties, it leads to tumor cell destruction. However the best results are obtained from combination of IP6 + inositol.
“Emerging clinical and still vast amount of experimental data suggest its role either as an adjuvant or as an “alternative” to current chemotherapy for cancer.” From reveiew article
Clinical reports
1st clinical observational study on Colon cancer patients
IP6 + inositol was given during chemotherapy; No toxicity, no drop in blood cell count, no tumor progression and improved quality of life was observed.
Breast Cancer and Colon Cancer patients, again the same kind of positive results with a combination of IP6 + inositol given during chemotherapy.
Lung Cancer:
“there was a report on a patient with advanced non-small cell lung cancer in Japan. A patient with a smoking history of 30 years, was treated by chemo-radiotherapy (CRT) with partial response. Eight months later, following the CRT, she began to take IP6 + Ins and almost 5 years later she was enjoying a completely healthy life without any signs of relapse.”
Skin Cancer (Melanoma)
Khurana et al. published an amazing case report on a metastatic melanoma. A patient with metastatic melanoma declined traditional therapy and opted to try the IP6 + Ins supplement only. He received a complete remission and remained in remission 3 years later.
Read our earlier post on Melanoma for the dose and other details.
